Five Health Partners with the American Sexual Health Association to Expand Community-Based Testing and Education

Miami, FL — Five Health has partnered with the American Sexual Health Association (ASHA) to bring sexual health education and testing directly into the communities that need them most.

The partnership focuses on two groups historically underserved by traditional healthcare: minority populations and women. Together, Five Health and ASHA will develop and deliver culturally relevant education programs, expand access to confidential testing, and build trust in communities where stigma and systemic barriers have made care harder to reach.

“Too many people still face real obstacles when it comes to sexual health care — cost, transportation, stigma, or simply not knowing where to go,” said Dr. Amanda Ichite, founder of Five Health. “This partnership with ASHA lets us reach more people in more places, with the kind of care and information that actually fits their lives.”

ASHA brings decades of expertise in sexual health education and advocacy at the national level. Five Health brings a model built from the ground up around the social determinants of health — meeting people where they are through home-based testing, community access points, and provider training that centers dignity and respect.

What the Partnership Means for Communities

  • Expanded education programs designed specifically for women and minority communities, addressing topics like STI prevention, PrEP access, and reproductive health
  • More testing access through Five Health’s Home Access Program and Community Access Points in barbershops, salons, and local gathering spaces
  • New outreach initiatives connecting ASHA’s national reach with Five Health’s community-level relationships in South Florida and beyond

The partnership builds on Five Health’s existing work in Broward County and Miami, where programs like Community Care Days and the Bridge Builders initiative have already brought care and education to thousands of residents.
